At the pump
Fuel is sold by the gallon (petrol/gasoline around US$5/gallon in 2026, payable in Liberian or US dollars); city stations often take major cards, but stations are far apart upcountry so keep the tank above half.
After a crash
Dial 911 for police and emergencies; do not leave the scene if there is vehicle damage or injury, exchange details, and obtain a police report which rental firms and insurers require.
