Service status

This page shows no live status, because no monitoring is wired up yet. A green “all systems operational” row with no check behind it is a graphic, not a measurement, so what is published instead is the dependency list and what each failure looks like from where you are standing.

What this service runs on

Dependencies and their failure modes
DependencyWhat it carriesWhat a failure looks like to you
StripeCard payment and the checkout sessionCheckout will not open, or the card is declined. No order record is created, so you are not charged for a document you never receive.
Vercel BlobOrder records, your uploaded photo and signature, and the finished booklet and ID card filesA paid order may fail to save, or a download link may not resolve. Payment would already have gone through Stripe, which is the case that needs a human.
ResendOrder confirmation, document delivery and support repliesEmail arrives late or not at all. The documents are still retrievable from the My permits page with your order number and email.
This siteEvery page, the destination data and the application flowPages do not load or the application form will not submit. Nothing to recover, because nothing was taken.

What this page will report once it is instrumented

Four scheduled checks, each with the timestamp of the last one that passed: a Stripe checkout session created and immediately expired, a write-then-read round trip against the blob store, a test message accepted by Resend, and a request to the application page that returns a rendered response. Until those run on a schedule there is nothing to display, and a status light would be describing the absence of a check rather than the health of the service.

Incident history

None published, and that is not the same as a clean record. There is no process yet for recording an outage, so an empty history means the record does not exist rather than that nothing has ever gone wrong.

Where to check upstream right now

Our providers run their own status pages, which are instrumented even though ours is not: Stripe, Vercel (hosting and the blob store) and Resend (email). A problem on any of those pages will usually explain what you are seeing here.

If your order is affected

Write to support@vialy.org with your order number. If a paid order missed its quoted delivery moment, the delivery record sets out what that entitles you to, and you do not have to argue an outage to claim it.
